As part of our English lesson today, we wrote a speech about the better life that Leonard (the main character from our class novel) dreamed of. We worked together in partners to develop a speech that was emotive, powerful and backed up with information from the UN Convention of the Rights of a Child. Then, at the end of the lesson we practised our speaking and listening skills by reading our speeches to the rest of the class.
