Measuring Length
To consolidate our knowledge on metres, centimetres and millimetres, the children explored length in a variety of different ways. They started off by finding objects inside the classroom that were the same length as both of their hands. They then moved on to measure an array of objects both inside and outside the classroom in the different units of measurement. They carried out tasks such as ‘find something that is bigger than the last thing you measured’ and ‘measure a book’.
